This is a goldmine for anyone - teacher, parent, older child - who wants to explore stories from different faiths or cultures. Whilst parallels are given and universal truths can be explored, the individual elements of religions are not diluted or compromised. Annabel Shilson-Thomas does not spare her readers and there are many stories that will need careful handling - this is a book to be shared with an adult. The illustrations are excellent but their style could deceive you into thinking the book is aimed at a younger age group and that infants and young juniors could enjoy these stories unsupported - BE WARNED!
