Ross loves violence and plotting it. He also loves reading the Old Testament - the Good Book - for its battles, which is why his gang is called the Judge. A Christian youth group looks like an easy target for the Judges until Ross becomes attracted to Morgan who teaches him something about gentler Christian values. This is a violent book which tries to show how Ross changes and is able to stand up to the aggression in himself, his family and his friends.
