This latest addition to the 'Happy Families' series sees Ahlberg and Amstutz at their co-operative best. Master Track, one Toby, the adopted son of a train driver and his wife, gives chase and captures the would-be great train robbers, the Creeps (a family who have a book of their own in the series). There is a homage to Oscar Wilde which will amuse adult readers in this multi-layered story which is told through many voices. Apart from the narrator there are the platform loud- speaker blaring announcements, the listening passengers with their questions and exclamations, the bubble talk from the various characters and not least, the illustrations which eloquently expand the text and tell stories of their own.
