When Hamish, the lighthouse keeper's cat, overhears that his family plan to put him on a diet, he decides to leave home and find another family who will appreciate him better! As with previous 'Lighthouse Keeper' stories, the Armitages' solution to Hamish's problems is to provide a mix of good solid moral values, educational challenge and sheer good fun! There are so many ideas to share and discuss (and wonderful teaching points to develop) that this is bound to join the earlier tales as favourites with children, parents and teachers.
