This is a delightful picture book in which a small boy evaluates the good and bad things about life with a puppy. It has a strong and supportive text which flows and illustrations which are not only appealing but enrich the story by giving the reader strong clues. This title would make a good group or team reader for 'Literacy Hour' with potential for a whole variety of meaningful follow up activities.
