Nonsense!

This Big Book contains eighteen largely well-known and, in my experience, popular poems of varying length from the likes of Rosen, Milligan, Causley with nearly half from 'anon'. The easily-memorable and participatory nature of the verses makes them highly suitable for whole class sharing which largely compensates for the smaller than ideal print size. There are language lessons aplenty here, not least from the inclusion of a contents page and index of first lines. The apposite illustrations are appealingly daft and brash.
