Rhyming text of the ‘Splish-splosh/Let’s have a wash’ variety is illustrated by Apperley’s pleasant but unspectacular watercolours of twin bunnies as they get up and go to bed. These board books do not quite work either as straight rhymes or as action poems, and did not impress my young testers. Innocuous but unexceptional.
