The zany humour of Dr Seuss with its invented vocabulary and wacky rhymes is almost impossible to read aloud. Rick Mayall captures some of the ludicrousness of One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish but even he has to struggle with the far more inventive The Lorax. In an attempt to make them comprehensible Rick Mayall adopts a slow delivery which conflicts with the helter-skelter pace of the text. These are two books best left to be enjoyed through print alone.
