This amusing picture book tells of a friendship between a small girl and boy. The girl just adores the boy, sending him love poems decorated with hearts. The boy desperately wishes she would go away, to the jungle where she could pester monkeys, to the desert, or even the moon. But when the girl actually DOES leave, he realises how lonely he is. When a letter arrives saying, 'See you in June,' he jumps for joy. Written in bouncing rhyme that reads aloud wel, with lively, scribbly illustrations adding much to the charm of the story, this book will be returned to by young readers many a time.
