Little Rabbit Runaway
After a telling off, Little Rabbit leaves home declaring, 'I'm Little Rabbit Runaway. Nobody can tell me what to do!' Soon he meets Molly Mouse, another runaway, who helps him build a house out of junk. Before long though, Molly has assumed the role of 'Mama' and is bossing and scolding him too. A day of messing around getting dirty, wet and cold and a night in the company of Molly and her scary bedtime stories is enough to persuade Little Rabbit that life with your real Mama and Papa isn't so bad after all. A warm and reassuring story that will strike a chord with most young children and their parents. There is much to be enjoyed and explored in Horse's finely detailed watercolour illustrations, particularly his imaginative use of recycled materials - discarded plugs, pizza boxes, books and other bits and pieces - in the construction and furnishing of Little Rabbit's house.
