Georgia Nicolson, Sex Kitten, and hilarious raconteur is altogether back on form. The usual cast of characters is writ large, the search for Masimo, the Lurve God reaches out to Hamburger-a-gogo land and it is impossible to read Georgia's outrageous adventures without laughing out loud. The glossary is an extra treat - invaluable for new readers and unfailingly entertaining for old hands. Beneath the whimsical froth lies a good deal of very serious advice about the perils of love and friendship and the wayward nature of family life. The idiosyncrasies of the Brits abroad illuminate the finer points of unacceptable behaviour and the whole is always more than a succession of carefully constructed set pieces. Rennison's fabulously quirky language and the powerful hook of the Dave The Laugh conundrum - will Georgia realise he is The One? - add spice to an already compelling mix. Surely there must be a film in the offing, if only for TV?
