Ten Steps to Bedtime
In this circular board book little bear has 10 strawberries for his tea, plays with 9 bricks… and ends up with 1 kiss goodnight. The pictures are collage and the bear is a friendly old-fashioned bedtime teddy. It’s colourful, simple, charming, nice to handle. There is a circular index round the edge of the book showing the numbers, and taking you to the pages. The objects are not all easy to count, so there’s interest and challenge. And the book deals with counting the number of objects as well as counting down in order: 10, 9, 8… It’s a delight. SE
