Fans of Jessica will not be disappointed in the latest book about her learning to become a witch. Not only does she complete the training successfully, but she also resolves a witches’ conflict and gets the ideal job. So there is hope for all, so to speak. Filled with the detail that younger readers will enjoy, the book will cheerfully be snapped up in the classroom or library. Reed’s illustrations are simply executed, but lend just the right characterisation to the story. RL
