Sam is pleased that big brother Ben is going away for a week’s adventure holiday. Sam will have their room to himself, and he won’t be teased or bossed around, or have to cope with Ben scaring him or fighting with him. But it isn’t long before Sam realises there are good things about having Ben around, and life is rather boring without him. Mum suggests sending Ben a postcard, and Sam likes that idea. The message is simple: ‘I very really miss you’. There is a happy reunion at the end of the week, and Ben has missed Sam too. A nice take on sibling relationships and a good reminder that they aren’t always dire! The simple, but effective illustrations add much.
