Being a princess is exhausting, but actually running around after a princess, enabling her every desire, is even more exhausting. This is what Mungo discovers when his friend Clementine declares her intention of being a princess. The day begins with breakfast in bed, and of course princesses only eat cakes and chocolate. What a trayful Mungo produces! Dressing next, and the convenient sparkly lampshade becomes her crown, the bedspread her robe. Finally Clementine decides that what she really needs is a prince. At last an opportunity for Mungo to make Princess Clementine decide she’s had enough of being a princess! There is a pink envelope at the back of this humorous book and inside a sparkling pink crown, just like Clementine’s.
