Little Frog loves having his mother all to himself and is devastated when Mum asks if he would like some brothers and sisters… He would not! In the well drawn, humorous illustrations, Mum enjoys watching her frogspawn turn into wriggling tadpoles and froglets whilst Little Frog is not at all amused. Space between text and pictures is used skilfully, each fresh page giving a real feel of the hundreds of froglets competing for attention… and all copying Little Frog. Mum persuades him he should feel flattered, and suggests teaching them to play games. A brilliantly funny twist on coping with the arrival of new siblings which incorporates the frog life-cycle.
