Fans of Super Duck will welcome this new title. The format will be familiar: picture in action sequence across each double page spread, with rhyming, bouncing text below each bold illustration. Super Duck hustles in on Sheep, Goat and Frog’s kite-flying venture, grabbing their kite despite having little idea of the techniques required to get it to fly. He even tries trailing it behind his well-known red truck! Goat eventually voices his belief that without a wind, a kite won’t fly. However, Super Duck does indeed fulfil his title when disaster strikes. The pictures add much to this jolly tale, each character drawn in simple lines with bold colours. The rhyming text portrays action which demands reading with pace and confidence, so the book is ideal for sharing, both at home and at school.
