In Jake – a Friend Indeed Jake goes on holiday with his owners and their son Sam to a farm. It should be fun with the sheepdog and all the other animals there, but Jake is in for a shock – what he enjoys just does not seem to be valued there until the sheepdog disappears... but that would be telling! The love and reassurance with which the tale is told will continue to keep Jake’s fans enthralled, with Nick Butterworth’s full colour illustrations an additional bonus.

Jake in Danger sees the arrival of Boris the Afghan who dominates everything – up to the point where Jake is being ignored. It isn’t much fun for Jake, but things are about to get worse as the dogs and people notice that birds are being killed. Who is the culprit? At first Jake suspects Boris, until Jake (through no fault of his own) becomes the main suspect, with the possibility of a court case and worse to follow. How the dogs band together to solve the mystery makes for an exciting read. Divided into short chapters, these two additions to ‘The Adventures of Jake’ series will have fans clamouring for more.
