Angelica Sprocket's Pockets
In Angelica Sprocket the inimitable Quentin Blake has come up with yet another quirky character – aunt? childminder? magician? – to entertain us, with all manner of rhyming nonsense. This pigtailed, bespectacled and ear ringed eccentric produces mice, cheese, umbrellas, ducks, straw hats, elephants, alligators, in fact anything and everything including the kitchen sink from her purple, long sleeved, head to toe, pocket pocked overcoat, much to the delight of a bunch of infants.
Just like Angelica’s pockets, this book brims over with joie de vivre, fun and frolics and is destined to be another Blake classic.
