This is a read-in-one-go job. The main theme is sky diving with an unexpected addition of a secret service operation in France to elucidate all the covert hints and mysteries that have hitherto been woven into the eventful, tense text.

Ethan has troubles at home and a lack of any real direction in his life. He happens on a job at a skydiving centre for the summer and proves himself a sky diving natural, fitting the bill for the spare place in what he is initially led to believe is no more than an elite competition team.

It’s a yarn which stretches credibility; some of the characterisation rings untrue, but it very successfully contributes to the market for fast, readable, exciting books for young males, who relish an adrenaline rush. The dialogue might seem a bit racy for some parents.
