Errol and his Extraordinary Nose
Illustrated by Roberta Angaramo
The cover picture tells us Errol is a star, his audience applauding him wildly. But the story within soon informs us to the contrary. Errol thinks he has no talents, and the other animals at school think him awkward and clumsy with a very silly nose. From A to Z, the other animals have abundant skills (Abraham the Anaconda, Zachary the Zebra.) Imagine the thrill when the teacher announces a talent contest! Errol attempts every skill he can think of, but fails at them all. Then his dad gives him a book about elephants. Errol reads on to discover the most amazing facts about his extraordinary family of creatures. And as for that versatile nose… On the day of the contest, Errol does indeed amaze, astound and flabbergast everyone. This cleverly crafted tale will reassure the most timid of children, with glorious, amusing illustrations to enchant those not yet able to read the text independently.
