Dog Loves Drawing
When Dog, the well-known bibliophile bookseller receives through the post a book with blank pages, he discovers a new passion. Armed with pencils and brushes he embarks upon a thrilling adventure. Hesitantly he draws a stickman who encourages him to create more characters and the two are soon joined by duck, crab and owl who, each armed with their various drawing tools, become co-creators of a story that takes them over land and sea and back to Dog’s bookshop once more.
Louise Yates lets her own drawing tools and her imagination run away with her herein. First she gave us Dog as advocate for children’s reading; now here we have Dog the advocate for their story making with pictures and words. Nothing short of inspirational.
