A factual account of how various young mammals, including cats, dogs, pigs, hippos (who feed under water) and humans, are suckled. The large pictures rendered in chalk and crayon on a textured background and the brief text in big clear type, make the information accessible for a young audience. Worthwhile non-fiction books for the very young are still few and far between so it is good to see one of the best available in paperback.
