Visual delights abound as each turn of the page reveals the realisation of one of Henrietta mouse's designs: a tailor-made dwelling for each of her assorted clients; although these are animal, the characteristics portrayed are essentially human. Each illustration is packed with minute, often witty detail such as the bee design on bear's duvet cover. Though this paperback is much reduced from the hardcover original, nevertheless it still offers plenty to look at and to stimulate the imagination.
