The Greedy Little Cobbler is a kind of neo folk tale: the hero receives payment in kind - a pig, a hen and so on - more often then not; but when he sees how a rich man lives, he decides to mend 'only the finest shoes' and sets off with his cart to tout for 'upperclass' business. Soon he is making shoes for lords, admirals and the like; but what good are these wealthy clients when none of them remembers to pay. A good example of Ross's visual and verbal humour this.
