New Blue Shoes

Rebecca and her mother go to buy new shoes. 'Blue?' said Mama. 'I think brown would be much nicer. Brown.' 'Blue,' said Rebecca. 'I want blue.' But later she is not so sure. A story with touches of humour for the reading adult to share with the very young or for older children to savour when reading alone. The pictures framed in broad margins complement the text beautifully and there's nice feeling of space (but American spelling?).
