Fans of Follow That Bus (same writer; same publisher) will enjoy this action-packed adventure around a Cub Scouts' camping holiday. Clever, intricate plot with mummified bodies lurking, car chases, derring-do. My admiration is chiefly for the writer's use of dialogue: she knows as well as anyone how stories come from talk and action. See how the narrative moves in a continuous flow, like a TV script, involving the reader (probably eights to elevens) in the action. Sharp, contemporary writing: Mr Hutchins' pictures are a bonus.
