Billy Goat and His Well-Fed Friends

An old favourite from the 'I Can Read' series now offered in a slightly smaller 'Pocket Puffin' edition. The story, which is ideal for developing readers, has all the elements of the traditional folk tale, and features a group of farm animals whose objective is 'to build a house in the woods and live in peace together': a fine sentiment certainly. The illustrations have a simple rustic charm further adding to the delights of this excellent little book.
