A superb collection of role reversal fantasy stories, written by women writers as diverse as Diana Wynne Jones and Tanith Lee and featuring mythical heroines: healers, warriors or exceptional personalities. There are stories in this collection of nine which are fractionally weaker than the rest, but overall there's a richness of language and structure and a level of expertise and commitment that young readers should, ideally, be exposed to. Buy this for 3rd years upwards and be glad that this sort of quality exists!
