Briefly summarised, Robyn's recollections of a dear friend who died of cancer during their 6th form doesn't sound too uplifting. In actual fact Jean Ure has managed to produce a very lively and stimulating story, largely, I think, because she concentrates on the impact that David's illness makes on his friends and the ways in which they try to handle the situation. Well worth stocking for older readers.
