Orange Cake for Tea
Mum is too busy since the new baby arrived to pay attention to Beth who most of all misses making orange cake together. She decides to give the baby away to her best friend Katy in exchange for some ballet shows. I felt this rather contrived and the story unrealistic and far too predictable, but the setting is well described and the children's conversations sound convincing. An author looking for a better plot, I think.
