An outstanding collection of nine short stories with immediate relevance for GCSE and a rich mine of gems for oral work. The title story is especially compelling, as are 'This Nothing Will Never End' and 'Choices'. All focus on the courage and strength of the individual in the face of a stubbornly blinkered authority and all are written with the grace and passion typical of Watson's work: the most obvious point of comparison is Talking in Whispers. This would be an extremely rewarding acquisition as a class set for years 10 and 11.
