The artwork is superb. The activities of a little grey cat throughout twenty-four hours are depicted in beautiful watercolour in which the light has a life of its own. A sparse text gives the words of the cat as she describes her day . . . and night . . . and the language is demanding, with words such as 'stalking', 'lurked', 'prowl', and 'dusk' which will stretch many young children's vocabulary. Well worth adding to the book collection of more thoughtful literary moments.
