Panda

Pandas, with their cuddly appearance and characteristic markings, seem to have a universal appeal. This appeal is successfully caught in the oriental style white and blue-black illustrations of Panda. They are also very topical so this straightforward account, in clear calligraphic print, of the life cycle of a wild giant panda has arrived opportunely. I found it fascinating. If only more non-fiction books for young children were of this standard.
