Two gems, re-released by Walker over 15 years after their original publication, which should grace the shelves of every 3rd and 4th-year junior classroom.

Both are ghost stories; subtle, gently humorous, observing the private, inner world of the young child confronted by something adults refuse either to acknowledge or understand.

These are beautifully written books, peopled by lovable eccentrics, instantly identifiable mischief-makers and endearing ghosts. Sefton takes her children seriously and the central characters in these books are often wiser than the adults whose responsibility they are.

Walker Books can always be relied on to produce something special and these two reasonably priced novels are no exception.
