A superb collection; witty, iconoclastic, intelligent and determined not to be dull. The alphabetic arrangement is refreshing after so many theme collections. Attila the stockbroker rubs shoulders with Auden, Fiona Pitt-Kethley with Pope. There's graffiti and quotations lines to laugh at, lines to ponder over. What a range of writers, ages and styles is woven together - and at this price! It's a pleasure to be able to teach with this, to have it in the classroom or just to have it in your pocket. There are gems throughout.
