Aren't You Lucky!
Coping with waiting for the arrival of a new baby, the arrival itself and the differences that having a young brother makes to the family are faithfully depicted here. The illustrations are cleverly laid out, distancing the reader in some instances and then suddenly enlarged to allow us to enter into the reality of jealousy, anger and frustration that this change brings with it. A careful matching of text to illustration depicts the process of adapting with sensitivity and gentle humour and makes this a very good read for everyone, but ideal to give a child coping with this situation.
