Justine, at 14, is part of the rich London set which cares about everything cool and expensive. An interesting linking device to the plot is the dialogue with Justine's future self who warns of the dangers of not being adventurous. So Justine is adventurous and, in an escalating series of set-piece mishaps, hits the front pages in quite unfavourable ways right up to the chaotic climax. Great fun.
