This book is one from the 'Teenage Memoirs' series published by Walker (see the article, All Their Yesterdays, in this issue) and Adèle, of course, is the subject of our Authorgraph - see centre-spread. Walker have done it again! Story and illustration are perfectly matched to create a book that's equally appealing to adults and children. The storyline of Septimus's regular three o'clock nocturnal prowls to his parents' room and the uncomfortably precise depiction of his ability to oust his parents from their bed and eventually wake the entire household is devastatingly accurate. A must for any family suffering the long-term effects of their own Septimus and is a joy to share with any child - except perhaps a Septimus!
