Hugh Scott is a gifted writer and while waiting for more like Why Weeps the Brogan? we can enjoy his skill in taking some fairly conventional elements and producing a quite frightening story of the devil and reincarnation. It isn't easy to get into but there's a tremendous climax. If teachers can help readers with this one, they'll love it.
