Does Daniel Wilmott Tell Lies?

This is a wonderful book for both adult and child. David Johnstone is a brilliant illustrator with such a good eye for body language in his depiction of the wonderfully ghastly Daniel Wilmott and his doubting audience, as well as the tongue in cheek humour of the double-spreads showing Aunt Johanna's exploits... according to Daniel. Juliet Martin's storyline is just right, as is her use of rhythm and repetition which inevitably compels audience participation. The twist at the end of the tale finishes the whole thing perfectly.
