A collection of short poems, in an interestingly shaped book, all of which are based on the Channel 4 programme for small children, Tots TV-the series in which one of the characters speaks French-though none of the children I asked had ever watched it. This somewhat limited the appeal of the book for it relies heavily on the listener knowing the Tots as all the poems are about them-in fact, it's described as 'a reading experience to accompany the TV series'. The poems have a certain charm, however, and will be enjoyed by young fans of the programme.
