A series of neatly told short stories whose plots are embedded in games of football. The stories are easily read, often exciting and the knowledgeable links with the game make them ideal for many readers - especially those who may well avoid or distrust most fiction. You might need to rip the cover off for older pupils who may think it's too young for them despite the age of many of the characters and the more aggressive illustrations inside the book.
