One of the funniest books about dogs that I've ever read. The detailed drawings treat dogs like machines, there are some hilarious notes and details, yet the text has a serious side, too. We're reminded, very gently, of dogs' needs and how we have to be responsible for them. Written in cartoon - form, the whole thing treats the dog with an amazing lack of dignity - no cat would allow it!
