A collection of poetry by and for women, representing several cultures. These poems are fresh and lively, avoiding cliché and only occasionally lapsing into self-consciousness. There's plenty of scope for GCSE study and a good deal for the Lower School, too, as adolescent problems get an airing. What's most important is the originality of much of the work. Poetry often draws groans from reluctant pupils but this anthology will hold their interest and spark controversy.
