Guinea Pigs Online

Authors: Jennifer Gray, Amanda SwiftIllustrator: Sarah Horne

Did you know that the Queen once had a guinea pig who could play the harp? Neither did I, until I read this book. And nor did any of the other guinea pigs who knew Coco in this story. What starts the adventure rolling is the disappearance of Fuzzy the guinea pig. He has seen an advert for a restaurant which asks for guinea pigs. Alas, poor Fuzzy does not realise just why the guinea pigs are wanted – and it takes Coco along with a team of other intrepid guinea pigs to mount a rescue operation, which ends in success – but not before HM the Queen appears, an unpleasant restaurant owner gets arrested and various cushions are used for less than expected ends. An enjoyable read, which ties in plenty of different threads to keep the story going. It will be a welcome addition to a class library.
