Little Lamb: A Soft-to-Touch Book

Author: Piers Harper

This 30cm square picture book with ‘touch-and-feel’ lamination on each page, is an ideal size for sharing and exploration. Pigs, dogs, mice and cows are wholly or partly furry to the touch, along with iris, bulrushes and dandelion clocks, demanding a thorough tactile exploration of every page. Hide-and-seek is a favourite game, and Little Lamb joyfully skips off to find a hiding place. Leaving the safety of the field, she meets Cow, Pig and Duck, asking each for suggestions for a good place to hide. In gentle, repetitive language, Lamb is led further and further from home. Thoroughly lost and desperately wanting her Mother, she is eventually led home by wise Sheepdog. Lots of comparisons with real life as small children become more aware of the world, this is a charming book for one-to-one sharing.
