On the March: Bridgewood High FC

Author: Dave Spurdens

Well, Gary, in the first half I thought we were looking at another football story. I mean, look at that author Dave Spurdens. The lad done OK, with a passable performance for boys who will read football stories. Some half decent dilemmas resolved on the pitch with all the right tensions and team talk. Thing is, Gary, it’s a game of two halves, and where he’s come back from the brink is in the website. Fans who get behind the book can also follow the fictional team online, and with a set-up like that I reckon young Spurdens plays deep into their half. It’s a brilliant tactic – just look at it www.bridgewoodhighfc.com. He shoots – he scores – magnificent! To me, Gary, that just sums it up for Bridgewood High, and I think we’ll be seeing a lot more of them in top flight over the coming season.
