Vulgar the Viking and the Rock Cake Raiders

Author: Odin RedbeardIllustrator: Sarah Horne

Vulgar has heard what the Vikings used to get up to in days of yore, and he fancies doing a bit of pillaging himself… too bad that the other Vikings are rather more respectable nowadays. Or are they? Enter his best friend Knut Knutson, who is happy to join in on the pillaging expedition, once he understands what pillaging is, and the fact that the intended target is the baker’s shop. Do things go to plan exactly? No. Thanks to Princess Freya (only daughter of King Olaf) joining in, not to mention an ill fated crossing of the village pond via a barrel to mention, things do not go to plan. Slapstick abounds in this story, which should have its fans rolling with laughter; and there are other books in the series for those who want more.
