We Are All Made of Molecules
Susin Nielsen, Andersen Press, 978-1783443765, £8.99 pbk
This book is a heartfelt and moving story about a half brother and sister moving in together and building a relationship even though it’s difficult for them. Tough times at school draw them closer and they realise they do have some common ground between them. I love this book because it hit close to home for me. I think others would love it because everyone struggles with change and it’s good to know that you’re not alone.
Micah
Simon James Green, Barrington Stoke, 978-1800902428, £7.99 pbk
Funny, sweet and shows the beauty of BEING. This book got me through all my boredom! It is also perfect for dyslexic readers as it is printed in a large font and isn’t as long as other books.

My Sister Lives on the Mantelpiece
Annabel Pitcher, Orion Children’s Books, 978-1780621869, £8.99 pbk
I love this book because it relates to difficult issues in society but gives me hope that things can get better if people take the time to try and understand each other. I really identified with the characters and loved how the story kept me gripped all the way through.

Nimona
N.D. Stevenson, Quill Tree Books, 978-0062278227, £12.99 pbk
I ADORE Nimona because of the addictive plot – I read it twice before returning it to the library! I love Nimona’s fun, sweet, spiky and unexpected personality, and the art is just amazing! Read this if you love a fairy tale with a twist.
Ramona
And Then There Were None
Agatha Christie, HarperCollins, 978-0008123208, £7.99 pbk
This book is the perfect mystery – completely unpredictable, full of twists and turns – you’ll never guess the ending. Don’t let the old fashioned language throw you off, you quickly get used to it and sucked in to the world of the book!
